Q:
How many tabs do we need and what is required by the Post Office?
A: If the spine (fold) is at the bottom of the piece and the top
opens a single tab is required.
If the spine (fold) is on the top and the opening is
on the bottom two (2) tabs are required.
Perforated tabs may not be used for bar-coded rates.
Q: What is Indicia and what other
methods of postage are available?
A: An indicia is a pre-printed identification that designates the
permit holder, mail class, and mailing office (see samples below). You
may also apply pre-cancelled stamps as well as in-line meter imprints.
Superior Mailing will open a permit for the client or they may use our
permit if we complete the mailing.
Q: What are the proper Indicia formats?
A: Effective January 10, 2001 the words BULK MAIL will no longer
be allowed for standard mailing indicia. There is no change for first
class or non-profit indicia's. See examples below:

PCC's and national mailing associations. We currently mail first-class,
